SOFTWARE USER’S GUIDE. 5 Brother PC-FAX Software (MFC models only) 96 PC-FAX sending. Install NewSoft CD Labeler. Sep 2, 2015 - Brother MFC-J825DW cd printing software. In print from a computer, this printer offers a “New Soft CD labeler” application which is simply.

Did you get the 64-bit version of their software downloads to use on your Windows 7 64-bit operating system? 'newsoft' is not mentioned there. Maybe it is part of their 'Software Package'.

In the manual at, page 76, it discusses how to print onto printable CD/DVD and refers to the 'NewSoft CD Labeler'. So it must be part of Brother's 'Software Package'. NewSoft is over. There is no 'CD Labeler' product listed at NewSoft's site so it is probably ancient software that they discontinued long ago. Not even looking at their product FAQ () has CD Labeler listed. Has CD Labeler listed.

Alas, the updates there are only for Mac OS X versions. The manual there is dated way back to 2006. Looks like NewSoft CD Labeler was junkware that Brother added to bloat the feature set of their printer.

Acer h233h driver windows 7. The manual (a.chm file) says system requirements are 'Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.' No mention of bitwidth (32 or 64 bit) support. Windows Vista wasn't released until Jan 2007 (for a Windows product that had a 64-bit version). Yes, there was Windows XP Pro x64 but that was Windows 2003 Server in disguise: crippled server edition with an XP desktop GUI. Lots of programs don't run on Server editions of Windows.

So the manual's late datestamp was before there were 64-bit native versions of non-Server Windows. A 32-bit program should run on a 64-bit Windows unless the program requires use of a driver (which may be the program's own dynamically loaded driver and not the one for the printer itself) that must match the bitwidth of the OS. There have been lots of scanners that became unusable with a later version of Windows because their software did not install a driver but dynamically loaded one in the scanner's software, and the scanner maker didn't provide a later release of their scanner software that would work under a later version of Windows. So just what does 'won't run' mean?

That the installer halts with an error message? That the program installed but the program halts with an error message? That the installed program immediately crashes when you try to run it (so what got recorded in Event Viewer)?

'Brother support is non-existent'. Does that mean you actually did try to contact Brother () or does non-existent simply mean you couldn't find NewSoft CD Labeler at their web site?

When I go to that web page and select 'MFC' for product group and 'MFC-J825DW' for model number, it presents contact info for e-mailing them or for calling them. Did you try either?

Did you try both? Did you try contacting NewSoft (even if CD Labeler is discontinued) at to see if they have a newer version, to find out if they only have a 32-bit version (and the program demands a 64-bit driver since bitwidth for driver and OS *must* match)? While I didn't find info on CD Labeler when looking at your model at Brother's site, I did find: Without knowing what 'won't run' means (no details), perhaps you should uninstall CD Labeler and try reinstalling it (assuming installation is not the 'won't run' problem). From the pics there, by default it installs under 'Program Files (x86)' so it is a 32-bit program.

If it interfaces with the printer driver then it may not know how to use that 64-bit driver; i.e., CD Labeler might be one of those 32-bit programs that really does require it run in a 32-bit version of Windows. 'Win7 box' doesn't say which edition of Windows 7 that you have: Starter, Home, Professional, Ultimate. The Pro and Ult editions include support for XP Mode (runs Windows XP 32-bit in a virtual machine).

You download a couple files from Microsoft (one for Windows Virtual PC, an updated version of VirtualPC2007, and the other file is the.vhd virtual disk file that loads in a virtual machine). Even if you have only the Home edition, you can still download the.vhd file and use it inside of a VMM (Virtual Machine Manager), like VirtualPC 2007, VMware Player, or Virtualbox. You might get the ancient and discontinued CD Labeler to run okay inside a virtual machine running Windows XP 32-bit. Mike Easter 4/8/2015, 15:22 น.

There is a 64 bit driver/software bundle here: I downloaded all of it, but can't find the software you want. Maybe with the right drivers it will accept 3rd party? The software might be in there, I unzipped it and opened the 'Disk' with a an installshield extractor, but the contents do not have very helpful names.
