As mentioned in previous posts there are many items to be mastered in order to be productive and profitable with this machine. While the machine is very easy to use, once taught properly, I would not recommend trying to figure it out by using pure intuition. Training typically takes one week and no areas of the press operation are left untaught. If your operator is experienced in printing small presses, it's just the controls they need to learn. Most older operators are affraid of the eletronics.

The younger ones love them. It is a matter of pushing buttons instead of pulling levers. Common blanket is different, but easy to learn.

For no apparent reason while in the print mode the press simply stops and the lights on the control panel just go blank. I then have to turn the press off and on to bring back all the panel lights. Then I have to remove the plate and place it back on the press because the press.

This problem is intermittent so it has been hard to pinpoint. There is a special function #23 that allows the press 'think' that it is in the print mode when in fact it isn't. While using this special function 23 all goes well EXCEPT there is no image being transferred to the sheet. The techs over at Heidelberg have never been able to resolve or identify the source of this problem.please help.
